Artist Q&A: Panel Discussion & Feedback Session

The On The Line artists will present an open session about their approach to creating work and taking it online, as a result of COVID-19, followed by questions and answers from the audience.

This is a chance to hear more about the process of creating a new festival, with opportunities to ask questions about the programme and feedback on the artist's work.

The event will be hosted by Dr Lazlo Pearlman Northumbria MA in Theatre and Performance programme leader. Lazlo will be joined by participating festival artists, to discuss themes across the programme, including how the current global pandemic has impacted on their individual practice and processes.

The event will be hosted on Saturday 26 September at 1.30pm BST via Zoom meeting.

We’d love to see you and hear your questions.

On The Line is a new online festival created by Northumbria University’s Theatre and Performance MA Students; featuring a bite-sized programme of contemporary theatre, performance art, multi-sensory installations, audio experiences and talks.

As a result of the Coronavirus, and to safeguard artists and audiences, this year’s MA cohort have taken the opportunity to reimagine their end of year showcase by creating an internationally accessible online festival.

Ten MA Theatre and Performance students from Northumbria University are premiering their projects and provocations as part of On The Line, which takes place from Wednesday 23 to Friday 25 September with some works being available to view until Sunday 27 September.

The festival aims to create a welcoming and safe space for artists and audiences to connect and encounter new work and big ideas from the next generation of theatre markers, all from the comfort of their own homes.
